Gary is a serial entrepreneur that in the last 20 years has built and grown three of the most successful companies in the document output business. In his role as CEO of Agiliant, Gary is responsible for the strategic vision, direction and overall operational execution of the company. His focus is on asssembling, aligning and leading a world class collaboration of the very best people, processes and technologies at the heart of the Agiliant services engine to optimize value to Agiliant stakeholders, customers and partners.
Gary’s most recent role prior to Agiliant was as CEO of Print, Inc., the document management infrastructure company that is widely acknowledged as the original architect of the now widely adopted managed print services (MPS) solution delivery model. Gary started the company from scratch in Seattle in 1999 and organically grew it into a major national force that completely changed the entire document management industry until it was acquired by Pitney Bowes in 2006.
Prior to Print, Inc., Gary owned two regional copier companies - Quality Business Systems and Seattle Office Systems – each of which achieved extraordinary growth
during his tenure as CEO. All three of Gary’s companies were consistently recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal as being amongst the fastest growing private companies in the Northwest during his leadership of each. Print, Inc. was additionally acknowledged by Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing private companies in the country.
Gary has been nominated and was named a finalist for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award, was named to the Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list and has received numerous other business and industry accolades directly attributable to the success of his ventures. In his free time Gary enjoys outdoor activities, boating, karate and volunteers for Boy Scouts of America.
Jim Shulkin Vice President, Marketing & Product Management
Jim has more than 15 years of experience in senior Marketing, Product and Business Development leadership roles with various technology product and services companies. At Agiliant, Jim is responsible for all corporate, product and channel marketing functions, including go-to-market strategy, market and solution development, product management, distribution and pricing, corporate marketing and communications, and channel marketing.
Prior to joining Agiliant, Jim led the Marketing, Product Management and Inside Sales functions for Envision Telephony, Inc., a Seattle based global provider of workforce optimization software and services. Jim’s experience also includes being Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Print, Inc., where he played a key role with other members of Agiliant’s management team in
growing the company to its widely acknowledged position of market leadership in managed print services
prior to being acquired by Pitney Bowes in 2006.
Jim earned his BA in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Washington, where he remains an active participant in academic and alumni communities as a regular guest lecturer and member of the President’s Club, Tyee Club and Alumni Association. In his free time Jim enjoys collegiate and professional sports, playing soccer and golf, and volunteers as a youth sports coach.
Russell Mullin Vice President, Services
Russell has 25 years of relevant industry experience, in which time he has worked with and supported copier and printer technologies from all major manufacturers in the market. Russell owns the Services organization of Agiliant, which includes all Help Desk, Monitoring, Dispatch, Solution Architecture and Delivery functions.
Russell was most recently Vice President of Service Operations for Pitney Bowes’ Print Management and Multi-Vendor Services businesses where he was responsible for product/solution architecture, pricing, implementation and management, contract profitability, OEM and warranty management, service delivery, and 3rd party contracts management. Prior to Pitney Bowes, Russell led Print, Inc.’s Services organization from start-up through acquisition, worked in Preflight Avionics at Boeing, and in electronic design and field support of seismic data acquisition equipment.
When not at work, Russell enjoys restoring classic automobiles, motorcycles, woodworking and creating custom cabinetry and furniture.
Ellen West Vice President, Client Services
In her 20+ years of experience with document and imaging technology and services companies, Ellen has held a wide variety of operational and administrative leadership roles. At Agiliant, Ellen leads the Client Services function, which includes Affiliate, customer and contract management, as well as overseeing day-to-day functions related to Affiliate and financial operations.
Ellen was Vice President, Client Services for Print, Inc. and maintained the same role through the Pitney Bowes acquisition of Print, Inc. in 2006. While at Pitney Bowes in her most recent role prior to Agiliant, Ellen helped to integrate four acquisition companies with related, yet unique business models to form Pitney Bowes Print Management. Ellen also spent 16 years at IKON, where she took on increasing responsibilities in 11 different departments, including purchasing, accounting, billing, facilities management and order processing.
Ellen earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Oregon State University. She is dedicated to enriching children’s lives through her involvement in Camp Fire USA for the last 10 years as a leader for her daughter's group and in her free time enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, golfing, reading and traveling.
Charles Lamb Vice President, Sales
Charles has more than 30 years’ experience in business technology, the majority of which has been spent in various sales leadership roles. His charter with Agiliant as Vice President, Sales is to build and manage the company’s sales organization, including all inside, direct and channel sales team members, functions and strategy. Charles plays a key leadership role in the planning and execution of Agiliant’s business development and go-to-market efforts.
In addition to establishing and growing his own network technology and digital imaging services company in 1985, Charles served as Southern Regional Vice President of Sales at Print, Inc. beginning in 2005 where he was responsible for growing and managing the company’s Texas-based business. He’s also spent many years as an independent sales consultant where he’s worked with hundreds of technology service providers to improve their go-to-market strategy and execution.
Charles’ education in aerodynamics and aircraft manufacturing sciences in the United States Air Force provided a solid technology and engineering base for his career in business technology solutions. In addition to being an accomplished consultant/trainer for companies moving from product- to services-focused business models, Charles enjoys spending time with his family and riding motor bikes.
Brian Landgren Vice President, Operations
Brian has more than 25 years of experience in senior operations and financial management positions in business technology and services companies. Brian is primarily responsible for the development and management of Agiliant’s VCOO (Virtual Chief Operating Officer) service offering, which includes evaluating and analyzing all financial and operational aspects of Agiliant Affiliate Network companies and developing and implementing business improvement plans with specific emphasis on financials and opportunities for cost savings to optimize their performance and success.
Prior to joining Agiliant, Brian spent 14 years at Global Imaging Systems as the President of the Northwest Group, where he successfully managed the growth of the NW division from $14 million to more than $50 million in revenue. During that time Brian was twice awarded the Chairman’s Award, as well as the President’s Award, Global’s Semper Fi Award and was even named one of “Global’s Greatest,” an honor only bestowed to the top 1% of Global’s employees. He has also served as Chief Financial Advisor and Vice President of several independent business technology and services companies.
Brian earned his B.S.in Accounting from Wilmington University. In his time outside of work, Brian enjoys skiing and camping with his family.
John Rauch Vice President, Technology Services
John has more than 13 years of information technology and services industry experience, with emphasis on network engineering, new product and service development. At Agiliant, John oversees the network operations center and solutions architecture, and is also in charge of evaluating new technology, service delivery and partnership opportunities.
Prior to joining Agiliant, John served as Founder and President of Axonus Technology Group, where he managed all the day-to-day operations, new product and service development and strategic planning. John’s experience also includes being CEO of Turnkey Networking Solutions, LLC, as well as a Network Engineer for Clark Nuber CPAs. John’s technical certifications include MCSE+ Security, MCDBA and CISSP, and he studied Computer Science at the University of Washington.
John is an adventurer at heart and can be found rock climbing, scuba diving or flying as a private pilot during his free time.
